Rob’s House Grilled Cheese


  • Bread (preferrably local)
  • Butter
  • Mayonaise (or make your own)
  • Lake Effect Cheddar
  • Lively Run Chevre
  • Finger Lakes Gold
  • Optional: Bacon, tomatoes, blueberries, pesto, carmalized onions


  1. Slice bread (loafway)
  2. Turn on frying pan medium heat
  3. Spread butter on one side of each slife of bread and add sear in frying pan
  4. Slice cheese, chop cheese, and mix the cheese
  5. While the bread is searing, add mayonaise to the top side.
  6. Flip the bread and immediately add cheese
  7. Add a combination of the optional ingredients
  8. Remove pan from heat
  9. Flip the sandwich and cover with a plate
